Want the look of a professional manicure without the fuss … or expense!? Or perhaps there’s no appointment at the nail salon? We’ve rounded up our top tips to give you beautiful nails in just minutes! We promise it’s just as easy as it sounds!
1. Find your nail size
Just like Cinderella’s shoes, you need to make sure your falsies are the perfect fit. Most nail brands impress little numbers on the back of their false nails so you can easily select the best size for each nail. (Tip! Take a note of your sizes to save time going forward!)
For a natural look you want to choose a nail that sits very slightly above your cuticle. This will also avoid gluing the false nail onto your skin!
2. Prep your nails
To get the most out of your nails, prep really is key! How well you prep will determine how long your luscious nails will last! Thankfully it is super easy and you probably have most the tools already at home!
Remove any nail polish to have a clean nail base.
Push back cuticles to give your falsies the best fit.
Trim nails to prevent them over growing the false nail.
File and rough the nail surface with a nail file to give your nail the best chance of sticking.

3. Apply & secure
Applying the false nail is the easiest bit! How you apply your nail will depend on the type of nail you went for:
For ‘Pre Glued’ nails (aka the 2 min manicure) you simply press the falsie on to your prepped nail and hold in place for 15 seconds, repeat until you have a full set of nails completed!
For ‘Glue On’ nails, simply place a drop of glue to the underside of the false nail and spread with the nozzle. Position and press down firmly onto your own nail close to, but not touching the cuticle. Hold for a few seconds until fixed. Repeat until complete!
4. Maintain your flawless look
Of course you’ll need to wash your hands and shower regularly but prolonged soaks in water can dissolve your nail glue! To get the most from your new manicure, avoid any activities that keep your hands underwater for a long period of time, such as swimming. You can wear household gloves when washing dishes to avoid any nail mishaps!
Don’t press too hard on your nail tips when texting or typing, instead use the pad of your finger to avoid a ‘pop off’!
Top tip … Always carry nail glue so you can secure it straight back on and maintain your salon look in a flash, should it come off unexpectedly 🙂

When the time has come to remove your false nails, don’t try to peel or pop them off as this can distress your natural nail surface. Taking them off should be as easy as putting them on! Simply soak your fingertips in warm water or acetone to remove the fake nails without causing any damage.
