But why does size matter? 

Condoms are a popular method of contraception as they help to reduce the risk of catching STIs, HIV, and unwanted pregnancy. Therefore, it is important to make sure you’re wearing the correct size, to ensure the condom doesn’t slip off (due to being too large) or split (if it’s too tight). In turn this can reduce the likelihood of any awkward moments!

There is a lot of misinformation about condoms online, which can make it difficult to know what’s true and what isn’t, so it’s time that we exposed the truth on some common condom myths…

Myth 1: It’s safer if you use 2 condoms

You should never use two condoms at the same time including internal and external condoms as they’ll rub against each other, and cause friction which can weaken them and make them more likely to break or fail.

Myth 2: Condoms are uncomfortable

If using a condom hurts or is uncomfortable, pay attention to the ingredients, the amount of lube you are using and how the condom fits. Condoms come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and materials, so there is plenty to choose from. Myth 3: You don’t need to use Lube

Using lubricant can reduce the chance of condom breakage, increase pleasure, and comfort. Top-Tip: avoid using oil-based lubricants with latex condoms as it can cause them to break. We recommend using our Adore Personal Lubricating Jelly

Myth 4: Condoms break easily

When used correctly, condoms should not break. A condom could break if the instructions for use are not followed properly.
